Every property is unique, so the installation process will vary depending on the constraints of your property.
A technician will be able to visit the property and figure out what type of property you are placing the order for, along with the disruption the installation could cause. They will categorise the installation into three categories.
Installation Categories
Category 1 - The installation will have a minimal lasting effect on your property or shared area.
Category 2 - The work we need to do may have some physical impact on the shared areas of your property.
Category 3 - The build methods used could have a greater impact on the shared areas of your property.
Property Types
Single-dwelling units (SDU)
The installation should be relatively straightforward if your home is on its own section and you don’t share a driveway.
Multi-dwelling units (MDU)
If your property is an apartment, retirement home, office block or multi-use block, it is most likely a multi-dwelling unit or MDU.
In some instances, the technician will need consent from neighbours or other parties before installation begins.
Right-of-way (ROW)
You could be classified as a ROW if you share a driveway or live in an apartment or a gated community.
You may need to get consent from your neighbours in the driveway before work can be started.
