1. Connect your Router to the ONT
Use an Ethernet cable to connect the WAN port of your ASUS ROG Rapture GT‑AX11000 router to the first port (LAN1 or GE1) on your Optical Network Terminal (ONT). If Zeronet specifies a different ONT port, use that instead. Ensure the router is powered on and that your computer or smartphone is connected to the router via Wi‑Fi or a LAN cable.
2. Access the Router’s Admin Panel
Open a web browser on a connected device and enter 192.168.50.1 or http://router.asus.com into the address bar. You may be prompted to follow the quick start wizard before accessing the full settings.
3. Setup via Quick Start Wizard
Follow the on‑screen setup wizard to begin configuration. Click on Advanced Settings, then Choose Operation Mode, and select Wireless Router Mode (default).
Choose the WAN port type (1G WAN or 2.5G WAN if applicable).
Ensure Special Requirements from ISP is ticked, select Automatic IP for your internet connection, and under Special Requirements, set ISP Profile to Manual Setting, Internet VLAN ID to 10, and Internet Priority to 0.
Continue through the wizard to set up your Wi‑Fi network name (SSID) and password.
Finally, change the router’s login password when prompted.
4. Internet Connection Type Settings (DHCP)
In the router’s admin panel, go to WAN > Internet Connection. Set the WAN Connection Type to Automatic IP (DHCP). Enable WAN and NAT, and set the NAT Type to Fullcone. Under Account Settings, set Authentication to None and click Apply to save the settings.
5. Configure VLAN Settings
Navigate to LAN > IPTV. Select ISP Profile: Manual Setting and enter the following settings: Internet VLAN ID 10, Priority 0. Click Apply to confirm these changes.
6. Save the Configuration
After entering the VLAN and DHCP settings, click Apply to save all changes. The router may automatically restart to apply the new settings. Wait a few minutes for the restart to complete.
7. Verify the Internet Connection
Once the router restarts, check the WAN/Internet LED indicator. A solid green light usually indicates that your internet connection is active. On a connected device, try loading a website to ensure connectivity is working.
8. Troubleshooting (If Needed)
If your internet connection is not working after setup, try these checks:
- Restart both the ONT and the router by unplugging them for about 30 seconds and then powering them back on.
- Double‑check the DHCP and VLAN settings in the router’s configuration to ensure they match what you entered above.
- Make sure the Ethernet cable is securely connected from the correct ONT port to the router’s WAN port.
These simple steps resolve most connection issues.
