1. Connect your Router to the ONT
Use an Ethernet cable to connect the WAN port of your ASUS RT‑BE92U router to the first port (LAN1 or GE1) on your Optical Network Terminal (ONT). Sometimes the second ONT port is used — check your Zeronet welcome instructions for confirmation. Ensure the router is powered on and that your computer or smartphone is connected via Wi‑Fi or LAN cable.
2. Access the Router’s Admin Panel
Open a web browser on a connected device and enter http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar. Log in using the default credentials:
Username: admin
Password: admin
If you have changed these credentials and cannot remember them, you will need to reset the router (see Step 8).
3. Internet Connection Type Settings (DHCP)
Navigate to WAN > Internet Connection. Set the WAN Connection Type to Automatic IP (DHCP). Ensure the authentication method is set to None. Click Apply to save changes.
4. Configure VLAN Settings
Go to LAN > IPTV. Configure:
- ISP Profile: Manual Setting
- Internet VLAN ID: 10
- Priority: 0
Click Apply to save the VLAN configuration.
5. Save the Configuration
After entering the DHCP and VLAN settings, click Apply to confirm all changes. The router may restart automatically to apply the settings — allow a few minutes for this process.
6. Verify the Internet Connection
After the router restarts, check the WAN/Internet LED on the device. A solid green light indicates a successful connection. Open a browser on a connected device and visit a website to confirm connectivity.
7. Troubleshooting (If Needed)
If the internet connection is not working:
- Restart both the ONT and the router by unplugging them for 30 seconds, then powering them back on.
- Double-check that the DHCP and VLAN settings in the router’s admin panel are correct.
- Ensure the Ethernet cable is securely connected to the correct ONT port and the router’s WAN port.
8. Reset the Router (If Required)
If you cannot access the router due to forgotten credentials or misconfiguration, reset it to factory defaults. Press and hold the reset button on the back of the router for 10–15 seconds until the lights flash. Release the button and allow the router to reboot. Log in with the default credentials and repeat the setup from Step 2.
