OTHER INFORMATION
Early Termination Fee (ETF): An ETF fee of $299 applies if you cancel your service within the 12-month minimum term.
Modem: If you cancel your Zeronet Wireless Broadband service, or move to another Zeronet plan, the modem must be returned. If the modem is not received by Zeronet by the final day of the 30-day notice period (or within 30 days of moving to another plan), a non-return fee of $299 will be charged to the payment method on file. View our modem return policy.
Notice Period: We require 30 days’ notice of cancellation, if you are planning to leave us, email care@zeronet.co.nz and let us know. If there is anything we can do to keep you jump on chat and tell us.
Service Address: Your Wireless Broadband service is linked to the address you signed up at and can only be used at that address. It won’t work if you take the modem somewhere else.
Moving House: If you’re moving, you must us know before you move by jumping on chat or emailing care@zeronet.co.nz, so we can reserve your connection on the mobile tower. If this doesn't happen, your service will stop working, and you will remain liable for the service charges.
When you contact us, we’ll check whether Wireless Broadband is available at your new address. Having mobile coverage at your new address does not mean Wireless Broadband is available there, so we need to check for you.
If Wireless Broadband isn’t available at your new address but Fibre is, we’ll move you to a Zeronet Fibre plan with no early termination fee, and your remaining minimum term will carry over to your new plan. We’ll send you a WiFi router for your fibre connection, and you’ll need to return your Wireless Broadband Modem within 14 days of moving to fibre. If we don’t receive it within 14 days, a non-return fee of $299 will be charged to the payment method on file.
If neither Wireless Broadband nor Fibre is available at your new address, the early termination fee applies if you cancel within your minimum term.
Traffic Management: We may use traffic prioritisation policies for our plans at any time to improve the overall performance amongst our customers.
Fair Use: Standard Personal Use: Usage must be fair, reasonable, and aligned with typical private, personal, or household usage. Prohibited Activities: Commercial gain, profit, reselling, auto-dialling, call forwarding, telemarketing, call centres, PBX/computer connections, SIM boxes, and GSM gateways are strictly banned. Excessive Usage: If your usage materially exceeds average typical customer usage, 2degrees may suspend, modify, restrict, or withdraw access, or charge standard rates for the excess.
Essential Services: Your Wireless Broadband service requires mains power to operate. If power is unavailable during a power outage, your broadband and any services that run over it will stop working unless you have a battery backup in your home.
You should check with the provider of any essential services, such as security and medical alarms, to ensure they will operate with this Wireless Broadband service. They can often change your access method to ensure your services are available during a power outage.
Additional Charges: If you request us to send a technician to your home, we will pass on any costs associated with that visit or if no fault is found. A reconnection fee of $50 will be charged if you are reconnected after non-payment.
Disputes: Sometimes we don’t always get things right and if that is the case jump on chat or send us an email care@zeronet.co.nz.
If you are still not satisfied with how we have resolved your complaint send an email to complaints@zeronet.co.nz. You will hear back from us within 3 working days, and we aim to have all our complaints resolved within 10 working days.
