Moving House? How to Transfer Your Zeronet Broadband
Shifting to a new place is exciting, but we know it can also be a busy time. To make sure you stay connected, here's a simple guide on how to move your Zeronet broadband service to your new address.
1. Submit Your Move Request via the Dashboard
The easiest way to arrange your move is directly through your Zeronet dashboard. Simply log in, navigate to the Move Address section, enter your new address and moving date, and submit your request — we'll take it from there. Zeronet currently does not charge for moving services to a new address.
From your dashboard, select Move Address to begin:
Log in to your dashboard and click Move Address to get started:
Enter your new address to check available plans:
Select a plan for your new address — your current discounts will carry over:
Choose your preferred move date (at least 1 week's notice required, no Sundays):
Review your move details and confirm:
2. Give Us Some Notice
It's best to submit your move request as early as possible before your moving date. This gives us enough time to organise the transfer and make sure your broadband is ready when you settle into your new home.
Please note, if you have a Hyperfibre service with Zeronet, if there is no Hyperfibre ONT at your new address, we may need to place you on an interim Fibre service while we arrange for the installation at your new address. The installation can take up to 3 weeks depending on the availability of technicians.
3. Pack the Essentials for Moving Day
Before you leave your old place, make sure you've packed the gear you'll need to get online quickly at your new home:
✅ Router (the one we supplied or your own)
✅ Power supply for the router
✅ Ethernet cable (to connect your router to the ONT)
✅ Any additional cables you use (for phones or extra devices)
Please ensure you leave the Optical Network Terminal (ONT) and ONT power adapter behind — a new ONT will be provided at your new property.
4. Using Your Router at the New Address
Good news—you don't need to reconfigure your router when you move. At your new property, just plug it into the specified LAN port on the Optical Network Terminal (ONT). If the ONT has been activated, your internet should work straight away. Your Local Fibre Carrier will send you an SMS on connection day letting you know which LAN port to use.
If your connection doesn't start working right away, reach out to our team via the dashboard or live chat for assistance.
5. How Long Does It Take?
Once you've submitted your move request via the dashboard, we'll confirm what's needed and advise you on timing. Every property is a little different, so if you'd like an estimate on when your service will be live, just ask—we're happy to give you a clearer timeframe.
6. Check Your Connection Once You've Moved
After you've unpacked, make sure your broadband is working as expected. If you run into any issues, our support team is always available to help—just reach out via the dashboard or live chat.
💡 Need a hand or have a question? Log in to your dashboard or use our live chat on the website—we're here to help make your move as smooth as possible.
