If you have recently received this from us, you just need to connect an ethernet cable from the LAN1 port on your ONT (Chorus Box) to the blue WAN port on the back of the TP-Link router and wait for the light above the globe icon to turn green.
The default Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password can be found at the bottom of the router.
If the light above the globe does not turn green or the router has been factory reset, please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Open your web browser and enter 192.168.0.1 into the address bar
Enter a password with a minimum of 8 characters with three different character types
Step 2: Select the Auckland/Wellington time zone
Step 3: Clicking the Auto Detect button should select the correct connection, but if this does not work, you can select Dynamic IP
Step 4: Ensure the "Do NOT Clone MAC Address" option is selected and press the Next button
Step 5: Update the name and password for your Wi-Fi network
Note: Leave Smart Connect enabled if you want to let the router manage whether your device connects to the 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz bands.
Step 6: Confirm that all the details are correct and click Save
Note: If you connected to the router over Wi-Fi to configure it, you will lose your connection when it restarts. Changing the SSID and password will mean you must manually reconnect to the network after it restarts.
The portal's home screen should now look like this:
